Carrier Air Conditioning increases distribution with appointment of Heronhill

Richard Ward, Commercial Director for Carrier Air Conditioning, has announced that Heronhill Air Conditioning Ltd will become a distributor for Carrier’s wide range of air conditioning solutions up to around 80 kW for residential and commercial markets, effective 1st July. Nigel Manning, Heronhill’s MD, is one of the industry’s most well known figures with experience of all aspects of the business. His west country based specialist distribution company has grown rapidly in recent years and is the only business of its kind to hold Investors in People status. Early in his career he worked for original Carrier distributor Weathermaker, followed by 17 years at BRD, before he and his brother sold out to refrigeration wholesaler HRP, where he became Marketing Director.

On signing the new anagreement with Carrier he said, “this feels right. It is very good to be working with Carrier again. The product quality, the performance and aesthetics in the up to 80 kW category are ready to match Carrier’s unsurpassable reputation in large chillers. This is a great move for our business; we can offer customers a very wide range of products and expertise, along with excellent service. Carrier brings to Heronhill a diverse range of Inverter andR410A products, including inverter split systemsproducts, to compliment our existing portfolio, and we are all very excited about the challenge ahead.” Richard Ward explains Carrier’s move to extend its distribution channels. “Distribution is a vital part of a manufacturer’s business. All sales channels are important – direct, wholesalers, general and specialist distributors. Distributors can multiply our expertise. They hold stock and are of enormous assistance to the manufacturer with market feedback. They support Carrier’s profile and our customers and they are close to local and to specialised marketplaces. and ensure the best customer and technical support.“ Carrier’s recently appointed Residential and Light Commercial Manager, Alistair Barnes said, “the market is very fluid, lots of different customers need different services. Having a range of types of distribution services enables Carrier to meet the needs of many more customers and that is what we are in business to do. I am sure we will be making more announcements of this sort very shortly.”
